Dr. Yolanda S. Lira, National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) Region IV-A Director, the Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) visited the Divine Word College of Calapan - Liberal Arts Department, July 14.
The grant of a temporary permit, pending approval from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) to the said institution to operate and open Bachelor of Science in Criminology for the school year 2009-2010 is the main objective of the RQAT visit. The Director did an ocular inspection of the newly-built Crime Laboratory, library holdings, and checked as well the qualifications of the faculty.
While waiting for the permit from the Commission of Higher Education (CHED), the RQAT issued a temporary permit allowing Divine Word College of Calapan to open BS Criminology under the Liberal Arts Department. As regards to this, the DWCC will be evaluated yearly to monitor the progress in the capacity of the institution to run the said program.
