“One uniform for SVD Schools”, stated Fr. Anthony Ibarra B. Fabella, SVD to the faculty and students of DWCC during the uniform consultation, February 18, 4-5 pm at the DWCC Audio-Visual Room.

Gathered at the session, students are to vote for a design and make comments and suggestions for the official uniform of the school to be regulated starting next school year 2009-2010.

Four proposed female uniforms and three male uniforms for students and a set for teachers were shown off by chosen students. The fabric used for top wear was a special cloth embossed with ‘DWC’ typifying Divine Word College, green checkered skirts for women and gray color pants for men.

Fr. Fabella accentuated that the alteration of uniform came from the DWEA. Having a common uniform together with all the SVD schools sets us an identity since it will also be a centennial uniform in commemoration of the 100 years of SVD in the Philippines. With its specialized cloth, it will be a copyrighted garb, exclusive only for the use of SVD schools.

Moreover, students can access to a cheaper uniform purchased solely in the school.
