The DWCC’s Association of Computer Engineering Students (ACOES) showcased their exceptional skills and excellence at the recently concluded R4B Regional General Assembly and Computer Engineering Challenge 2023. The two-day event, held at Mindoro State University from November 30 to December 1, 2023, brought together computer engineering students from various colleges and universities in the region.
Led by dedicated instructors and mentors, the ACOES members demonstrated their prowess in a range of activities, including breadboarding, pitching, quiz bowl, programming, and even a mobile legends competition. The participation of DWCC’s ACOES highlighted not only their academic competence but also their ability to excel beyond the confines of the campus.
The event kicked off with a warm welcome ceremony for all participating schools on Day 1, followed by intense competition across different categories. The students faced challenges in areas such as on-the-spot research paper presentations, testing both their quick thinking and research skills. The second day of the event featured the prestigious Mr. and Ms. ICpEp 2023 competition, which combined intellect and beauty, ultimately won by two outstanding representatives from DWCC.
The victorious students not only claimed the coveted titles but also brought home medals and awards. Their success paves the way for DWCC’s ACOES to proudly represent the institution in the upcoming National CpE Challenge scheduled to take place at the University of the East Caloocan.
The 2-day event was a testament to the collective efforts and cooperation of the school administration, faculty, students, and officers.
