In a dazzling display of talent and expertise, the Association of Computer Engineering Students (ACOES) from Divine Word College of Calapan (DWCC) left an indelible mark at the R4B Regional General Assembly and Computer Engineering Challenge 2023, hosted at Mindoro State University from November 30 to December 1, 2023.
Led by dedicated instructors and mentors, the ACOES team embraced the challenges presented in various competitions, including breadboarding, pitching, quiz bowl, programming, and mobile legends. Their participation showcased not only their competence within the campus but also their ability to excel on a regional platform.
The event kicked off with a warm welcome ceremony for participating schools on Day 1, followed by intense competition across different categories. The students’ intellect and brilliance were put to the test in an on-the-spot research paper presentation, requiring them to showcase their analytical and presentation skills within a limited timeframe.
The highlight of the second day was the prestigious Mr. and Ms. ICpEp 2023 competition, where intellect and beauty were equally measured. Two outstanding students from DWCC, exuding composure and brainpower, claimed the titles and donned the crowns. The event concluded with a grand awards ceremony, honoring the participants with certificates and awards.
Over the course of the 2-day event, DWCC-ACOES secured medals and achieved success, underscoring their talents and expertise. Now, these accomplished students are set to represent their institution and organization in the upcoming National CpE Challenge at the University of the East Caloocan.
