The recent DWCC Graduate School 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘂𝗺, “𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗨𝗽 8,” themed “𝙈𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙞𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝 𝙃𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙯𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙏𝙤𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙎𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝘿𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙥𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩”

The recent DWCC Graduate School 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘂𝗺, “𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗨𝗽 8,” themed “𝙈𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙞𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝 𝙃𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙯𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙏𝙤𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙎𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝘿𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙥𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩,” took place on October 19, 2024, at the Calapan City Convention Center, achieving remarkable success. The event began with a Eucharistic Celebration led by Fr. Vicente D. Castro, Jr., SVD, who emphasized the significance of this academic gathering in promoting the sharing of ideas and reflecting the gospel values of togetherness.
Fr. Renato A. Tampol, SVD, Ph.D., President of DWCC, opened the program by highlighting the Graduate School’s crucial role in advancing academic pursuits aligned with DWCC’s Vision of Academic Excellence through research. The dynamic DWCC Graduate School Dean, Dr. Aleli C. Dugan, CPA, Ph.D., the architect of the “Level Up*” program, warmly welcomed guests and acknowledged the dedicated committees that made the event possible.
The keynote address was delivered by Fr. Felino B. Javines, Jr., SVD, DM, who spoke on “Empowering Graduate Education for National and Global Impact: Bridging Expertise, Innovation, and Societal Challenges.” Hon. Benjamin “Chippy” I. Espiritu, CPA, Ph.D., shared insights on “Pioneering Innovations through Research: Bridging Theory and Sustainable Development Practices,” while Fr. Ross Heruela, SVD, MA, SThL, concluded with “Research as a Catalyst for Community Service and SVD Spirituality Initiatives.” Additionally, Mr. Jake Abatayo, CPA, President of PICPA Oriental Mindoro, led a discussion on Financial Wellness.
Graduate School students showcased their scholarly works during various research presentation sessions, receiving invaluable feedback from DWCC faculty members serving as reactors.
This research colloquium offered a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue, inspiring participants to delve into innovative ideas and collaborative projects that can ultimately enhance sustainable development. Attendees left with a renewed commitment to making impactful contributions in their fields.
