Today, we remember the life and legacy of St. Arnold Janssen, born on November 5, 1837, in Goch, Germany. A dedicated priest and founder of the Society of the Divine Word (SVD), the Holy Spirit Missionary Sisters (SSpS), and the Holy Spirit Adoration Sisters (SSpSAP), St. Arnoldβs vision was to spread the Gospel around the world, particularly to remote and underserved areas. His deep commitment to education and missionary work led to the establishment of schools, parishes, and communities dedicated to the service of God’s word.
As we celebrate his birth, let us honor his enduring commitment to spreading love, peace, and the message of Christ throughout the world.
