𝐃𝐖𝐂𝐂 𝐁𝐒𝐈𝐓 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟏𝟏𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐎𝐏𝐂𝐈𝐓 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐇𝐄𝐈𝐬

Demonstrating excellence and proficiency in Information and Communications Technology (ICT), 22 third-year and fourth-year BSIT students from Divine Word College of Calapan (DWCC) successfully passed the 𝟏𝟏𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 (𝐓𝐎𝐏𝐂𝐈𝐓) for Philippine Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) held on November 20, 2024.
The TOPCIT is an internationally recognized performance-based assessment designed to evaluate the problem-solving, critical thinking, and practical IT skills of students and professionals in the field of ICT. It is offered in the Philippines by the 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐃) in partnership with the 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 & 𝐄𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐈𝐈𝐓𝐏) 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐊𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐚. The exam assesses competencies in software development, database management, network security, and IT business strategy, ensuring that participants are industry-ready and globally competitive.
Among the DWCC BSIT students who took the exam, one achieved Level 4 proficiency, 17 attained Level 3, and four reached Level 2. In particular, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐧 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧 𝐘. 𝐂𝐨, a third-year BSIT student and the current president of the Junior Philippine Computer Society – DWCC Chapter (AY 2024-2025), achieved Level 4, signifying his exceptional competency in ICT problem-solving and application.
The School of Information and Technology (SIT) of DWCC extends its heartfelt congratulations to these outstanding students for their hard work, dedication, and perseverance. This achievement is a testament to DWCC’s commitment to providing high-quality IT education, equipping students with the skills necessary to excel in the ever-evolving tech industry.
